Total Merchandise donates promotional products over £12K to worthy causes throughout 2019

With the end of 2019 in sight, now is arguably the perfect time for a business to reflect on its various achievements throughout the year – and for Total Merchandise, a year of ‘giving back’ has certainly given them something to be proud of.  

After some end-of-year totting up, the Essex-based company is delighted to reveal it has donated promotional products worth upwards of £12,000 to great causes across the UK (including charities, not-for-profits and community initiatives) throughout 2019.

 

The big-hearted business has also taken part in a variety of charitable events itself throughout the year, with the team raising participating in events such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning and Children In Need’s Pyjama Day. John Mackenzie, Head of Marketing at Total Merchandise, is also the co-founder of the Colchester Half Marathon, which has raised upwards of half-a-million to charity since its inception in 2011.

Speaking about ‘giving back’ to worthy causes throughout 2019, Jason comments: “We receive many requests to help good causes each month and we do our best to help as many as we can. We’re delighted to have helped organisations across the country spread the word about their important work”.

Michelle adds: “Whilst we worked very hard to succeed and get to where we are today, there was also a certain amount of luck involved. Many people work just as hard and don’t achieve the same, and so we always like to give back when we are able to”.

2019 has been a big year for Total Merchandise, with September marking 15 years since the company was founded by Jason O’Connor, Michelle Rae Stoddart and David Stoddart. It has also recently announced its acquisition of a larger office space in order to accommodate its growing team. At the time of this story being published, the business is also riding high in Sourcing City’s Distributor of the Year Awards, in the £3m+ category.

“It’s been an incredible 12 months,” reflects David. “After a fantastic 2019, we’re looking forward to 2020 and all that lies ahead for the business. Watch this space!”
