Total Merchandise wins Distributor of the Year £3m+

Total Merchandise has been voted Distributor of the Year in the prestigious Sourcing City awards, for the second year running.

The Essex-based business – which celebrated its 16th birthday back in September – scored the accolade in the £3m+ category, with votes received from suppliers across the UK.

Some might say that Total Merchandise is on a winning streak: this is the second year running they’ve received the award from Sourcing City, along with winning the BPMA’s Distributor of the Year 2020 award back in February.

Needless to say, the Total Merchandise team are delighted by the latest win – with founders Jason O’Connor, David Stoddart and Michelle Rae Stoddart particularly thrilled.

“To win this award for the second year running really says a lot about the work put in by our team, as well as their relationships with our supply chain,” says Jason. “We have a great supply chain, which is key to us being able to deliver the goods and service that we do – so we’d like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their support. On a personal level, this win also brings a great deal of pride and shows that we’re doing something right!”

“After such a difficult year, this award is very special,” adds Michelle. “I would like to personally thank our whole team, as well as our customers and suppliers – we couldn’t have done it without you all.”
David agrees: “If it wasn’t for the strong team we have around us, I’m not sure it would have been possible. News like this really warms your heart, especially after a year like 2020.”

Whilst 2020 has made the year as difficult for Total Merchandise as it has for any other business, the team has worked hard to ensure they’ve been able to offer the same expert level of 5* service to their customers across the country.

Says Jason: “The less said about this year the better! But we’ve really focused our efforts with a view to starting afresh next year, and this is a fantastic accolade to start 2021 with.”
