Screenworks: Proud to launch Inspired division

Screenworks, one of the UK’s longest established garment screen print, embroidery and digital print service providers, is pleased to announce the launch of its Inspired division. The company’s new business unit is focused on delivering customised textiles and promotional clothing, along with its exceptional design services, in response to client demand for more individualisation.

This is a future-proof move on Screenworks’ part; with increasing requests from clients to have control over a larger part of the process as the concept of bespoke and customised clothing has developed rapidly over the past decade. For many knowing how an item is manufactured has become as important as the item itself. The team at Screenworks know they can work hand-in-hand with clients from beginning to end, to create both the item and the process that all parties are happy with.

Duncan Gilmour, managing director at Screenworks, said: “Quality and accuracy of production have always been two of the greatest challenges faced by customers looking to order clothing. Sizes and quality of production can vary greatly between brands, and even within batches. With more detailing and complicated prints these issues can often be exacerbated. We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Inspired division, which is meeting these challenges head on – by delivering great design, customised and bespoke products to meet the needs of our clients’ brands.”

Sales director of the new division, Matt Daines, has vast industry experience. Throughout his work dealing with suppliers on and offshore he has developed superior product knowledge, which has been invaluable in helping to build up Inspired. He added:

“We are proud to be specifying clothing and promotional textiles – from our understanding of products, to manufacturing and processes such as sublimation. These are truly specialist skills, taking real understanding of products and the manufacturing process. By supporting our customers to increase sales of Inspired product ranges we’re delighted to be playing an integral part of the growth of the industry overall.

“The Inspired team has over 40 years’ experience in the promotional and retail sectors, from which they bring skills and highly valuable technical knowledge. I’m delighted that Hannah Pearce will be taking up the role of team leader. With her attention to detail and dedication to customer service she was our perfect candidate to head up all purchasing and processing schedules. The whole team is made up of individuals who are passionate about developing and delivering products beyond customer expectations, creativity and innovation are at the heart of all we do.”

Screenworks ensures that its supply chain shares the company’s ethical values around child labour, health and safety, discrimination, modern slavery, working hours/conditions and remuneration.  As part of the supplier on-boarding process the team is exacting about accreditations and has developed a supply chain sponsorship program – helping suppliers to meet the required standards.  These are checked and audited on a regular basis with Screenworks’ operations team visiting production facilities to align standards with the UK plant – based at Haverhill, Suffolk.
