Plastic Confusion- Trying to make an effort? But confused

The past few years have seen a growth in interest around the issues relating to plastic. The ‘Blue Planet’ effect has seen a growing awareness of the implications of using plastic, particularly single-use plastics. In the merchandise industry, this has manifest itself in clients asking questions about the sustainability of many products and their packaging as they seek to minimise their use of plastic and increase recycling.

Prize winners treated courtesy of Promo Trade

Suzie Kean from Geiger BTC was the first winner of a new weekly prize draw for Promo Trade customers. Kean won an experience day, dinner and an overnight stay for two after being selected randomly. Every week Promo Trade has a prize draw to win a different experience, such as a supercar driving day, a spa day, tickets to Oktoberfest, or a Michelin star meal for two.

Hot off the heels of the very successful East of England Merchandise Show, Fluid Branding hosted their annual supplier awards at All Saints Hotel and Spa in Bury St Edmunds on the evening of 25th September 2018.  

The guests were greeted with welcome drinks, a two-piece live band and a magician!

Make It Hard for Cyber Fraudsters

According to a recent study by Barclays Bank, the average cost of each case of cyber fraud is more than £1,000 per attack, and 29% of cyber fraud attempts against small businesses and SMEs are successful. What’s more, 10.6% of those who took part in the study revealed that they had been victims of cyber fraud, and 8.58% of these had to make staff redundant to cover the costs. With 43% of all cyber fraud attempts being against small businesses and SMEs, this is an area that cannot be ignored.
