It won’t be long before the first mince pies appear on shop shelves – a clear sign that declares the Christmas countdown has truly begun. When it comes to the promotional merchandise industry, time really is of the essence for all festive matters.
It may have been a new venue, but the latest Merchandise World continued its record of delivering the best experience for exhibitors and visitors.
The Ignite group made its annual pilgrimage to Warwick Racecourse on October 3rd for the eleventh time. Although the outing was not blessed with the wonderful weather enjoyed in previous years, at least it stayed dry. Ignite’s outstanding attendance record continued with more than 100 suppliers and members making the trip.
As a joint partner in Merchandise World with Sourcing City, the BPMA was out in force in Milton Keynes. The Association held an informal drinks reception on the evening prior to the show to give members a chance to network ahead of the following day’s activities.

The BPMA hosted its Brexit Summit on Wednesday 23rd October at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London. The event was well attended with over 100 suppliers, distributors and service providers in attendance.

After a really successful East of England Merchandise Show on Tuesday 24th September 2019, Fluid hosted their annual Supplier Awards night at the All Saints Hotel and Spa in Bury St Edmunds, where everyone had the chance to rest, relax and celebrate after a very busy day!

Merchandise World smashes it again!
576 of the promotional merchandise industry’s top distributors attended Merchandise World at the MK Arena on the 11th September 2019. Almost every major UK distributor company was there, alongside many other significant and professional distributors. The hall itself was buzzing and vibrant as 125 exhibitors created an excellent array of colourful and innovated stands to present their eco, new and top selling products.

A new Guinness World Record set by eco bag retailer, Cotton Bag Co, enlisting the help of Wiltshire primary school children to decorate the World’s Largest Jute Bag on International Plastic Bag Free Day. Cotton Bag Co’s record-breaking jute bag measured at 22.5m wide by 14.6m high, more than double the size of the previous record.

To mark 50 years in business, Essex based merchandise distributor business, Impamark flew staff to Spain for a weekend Fiesta celebration.
The BPMA hosted its first regional mental health seminars at Fetcham Park in Surrey and Hotel Football in Manchester in June. The well-attended seminars focused on mental health within our industry.
