BPMA Virtual Conference commences tomorrow!

As we start September with anticipation for what the next few months hold; the BPMA team has turned its attention to the BPMA Conference live event on 9th September followed by a dedicated meetings week for BPMA members to connect and meet between 10th-16th September within the virtual platform.

With the period after lockdown seeing order levels creeping up slowly but surely, the live event has been put together to inspire, educate and connect BPMA members with range of speakers, workshops and masterclasses to help attendees grow in all aspects of life and business. The dedicated meetings week will drive those connections everyone has craved during the past few months with a range of fantastic suppliers supported by their virtual exhibitor pages. With meetings available from 9th September, it’s been great to see so many meetings already booked and in diaries.

Starting the day inspired

Kicking off the conference is inspirational keynote speaker Peter Docker, examining our relationship with love and fear and how this influences our action and reaction, choices and ultimately innovation. Attendees are also invited to join Peter for informal discussion afterwards in a virtual ‘coffee break’. Along with afternoon session keynote Adrian Webster, famous for his actionable strategies for business leaders, we will look at why so many have been able to deliver extraordinarily and what drives us.

New research revealed

The BPMA is revealing the first wave of new consumer research, examining attitudes to merchandise. BPMA CEO Carey Trevill will be presenting the results and is joined by an expert panel of end users in the event and experiential industry to understand more about their viewpoints and their new ‘normal’.

Industry view

In the last panel discussion of the day, Carey Trevill hosts an important discussion with BPMA Chair Angela Wagstaff, BPMA President Graeme Smith, Paul Bellantone PPAI, David Long Sourcing City and Michael Freter PSI/Reed Expo to examine the current state of the industry and how the panel views the economic recovery.

Skills and insight to support every member attending

With over 15 speaker sessions, attendees can chose from a range of business critical sessions and workshops attuned to leadership, wellness and HR. With four session tracks, attendees can select their preferred selections and add to their agendas for the live event day and with the listen again feature, return to catch up on sessions they might have missed. The BPMA has put together a theme embracing the recovery steps every business has been experiencing, the regenerative skills needs to move ahead and the resilient knowhow to support every member.

In the Recovery sessions, the BPMA has brought together expert speakers to cover what to expect from import and export during transition and Brexit with Kevin Shakespeare from Institute of Export & International Trade, what employers need to know about employment law now with Amanda Chadwick from Croner, cash and credit management with Ian Jenkinson at Account Assyst and invaluable business planning tools from Peter Hill at Mark Holt & Co.

In the sessions aimed at Regeneration, this kicks off with an energising sales session with Tony Morris, how to navigate procurement with Steve Baynes and Mike Newman from theSPC, engaging discussion with Andrew Hill and Clive Alcott, BPMA Ambassadors for Charter membership discussing with Daniela Arena how the Charter standard benefits members and finishing with an insightful session about gaining the most value from your data with Mike Martin of Griffin House Consultancy.

Our Resilience sessions are built to look at our most human traits. In a series of talks and workshops starting with Jodie Hill of Thrive Law and Dr Sarah Hattam, understanding how we swim rather than sink is essential. Followed by insightful sessions on leadership and preparation for the next period ahead, qualified business coach Victoria Walsh brings her extensive experience to discuss personal strategies for times of change. Taking a different path, Mark Pavlika of Mindful HR delivers an impactful plan for every leader to embrace mindfulness. Polished off with a fantastic masterclass with Ian Jenkinson and Mike Collins on how to use one of your most useful assets, Account Assyst, every attendee will finish the day equipped with new skills, insight and inspiration.
