BPMA takes industry questions to Minister of Export

Following a question raised in House of Commons in February via MP Andrew Lewer, the BPMA has secured an audience with the Minister of Export to discuss export challenges for SMEs in our industry.

BPMA Board takes action

Spearheaded by BPMA Board Director Andrew Langley, the question raised concerns about the burdens placed on UK SMEs after the Transition period has ended. Lobbying Government takes on many forms with the BPMA feeding back to several departments weekly and often daily to convey the impact on the industry, using case studies and survey feedback. Questions to Ministers are notoriously hard to get onto the agenda and so the BPMA are delighted to secure the question and the audience.

The BPMA will be meeting with Minister of Export, Graham Stuart MP in the coming weeks.

BPMA join MP discussions on creative industries

Attending an MP roundtable this Wednesday hosted by the Advertising Association, the BPMA were also invited to give evidence on how BPMA members were fairing in the current climate, the outlook for the industry and demand a fairer, accessible spilt of grants for struggling businesses from local authorities. During this meeting, the recovery of the creative sectors were discussed at length, citing a positive outlook for the end of this year.

Amongst the MP’s attending were Dean Russell MP who chaired the recent BPMA/IPIA debate, Jonathan Lord MP, Damian Collins MP, Andy Carter MP and Lord Gilbert of Panteg who all support and share interest in marketing and advertising.

If you would like to share your case studies or suggestions prior to our meeting with the Minister of Export, please email Carey Trevill at the BPMA.
